Private Rights of Action: How Consumers, Workers, and Businesses are Fighting Corporate Power

COSAL joined with the American Economic Liberties Project for a virtual conversation on the ways in which the private sector is tackling corporate power on March 20, 2024.  COSAL Vice President Greg Asciolla and Treasurer Deborah Elman were featured speakers on a panel of seasoned antitrust lawyers leading many of these battles in the courtroom who discussed the unique challenges private antitrust litigants face and how to address them.  Pamela Gilbert, COSAL Executive Director, introduced the event and wrapped up the presentations with an appeal to policymakers to include strong private enforcement in any legislation to establish new and stronger antitrust protections.  Other speakers included Hetal Doshi, Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the DOJ Antitrust Division, Lee Hepner, Senior Counsel with AELP, and Jamie Crooks, founder of Fairmark Partners, LLP.
