COSAL Hosts “Promoting Competition and Fighting Corporate Monopolies” at DNC

COSAL partnered with Fight Corporate Monopolies, a sister organization to the American Economic Liberties Project, to sponsor an antitrust networking event during Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The event was called “Promoting Competition and Fighting Corporate Monopolies.” COSAL believes it was the only antitrust-focused gathering related to the convention.

The Chicago offices of DiCello Levitt hosted more than 100 people who heard from an impressive and knowledgeable group of speakers who discussed the importance of strong antitrust laws and effective enforcement for the well-being of consumers and workers and the health of our economy. Most of the speakers specifically mentioned the important role that private enforcement plays in keeping the marketplace fair.

Special thanks to DiCello Levitt, Sperling & Slater, and Cuneo, Gilbert & LaDuca for supporting this very successful event.

Speakers:

  • Senator Amy Klobuchar

  • Senator Richard Blumenthal

  • Senator Chris Murphy

  • Senator Ed Markey

  • Representative Jerry Nadler

  • Representative Pramila Jayapal

  • Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser

  • Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison
